BOb很客气地说让Anne帮个忙，他想进一步地认识Carrie，想请Anne和Carrie星期五晚上一起吃晚饭。

Dialogue：
B：Could you do me a favor? (你能帮我一个忙吗？）
A:Sure.What can i do for you? (当然，我能怎么帮你呢？）
B:I want to invite you and Carrie to have dinner next Friday. （我想请你和Carrie下周五一起吃晚饭）
A:With pleasure,and i will ask Carrie to.（好啊，我会帮你问Carrie的）
{鼓励}
Anne欣然同意，并开玩笑地说Carrie是学校的红人，很多男孩子追求她。不过她同时也鼓励Bob。
Try to look on the bright side.(看一下这件事情好的一面）
Dialogue:
A:Carrie is very popular in school,I am not sure if she can go or not.(Carrie在学校很受欢迎，我不能肯定她是否能来。）
B:Ok,but you must be there.（好的，不过你一定要来）

Anne泄露Carrie刚刚和男朋友分手。

餐馆预定
Bob为星期五的晚餐预定了座位。

Dialogue:

Bob去商店购买新衣服

Bob看上一件白衬衣，和店员讨价还价，最后成交。

X:20% is the best discount i can offer.(我最多能打八折。）
X:It is a real bargain .（真的很划算）
B:That's fair. I'll take it.（这个价格还算公道，我买了）
退换货
回家后，Bob试穿了一下，发现尺寸有点大，于是拿到店里要求换货。
I'd like to exchange this shirt.

Dialogue:
B:Excuse me.I'd like to exchange this shirt. Its the wrong size.(对不起，我想换这件衬衣。尺寸不合适。）
X:Do you have the receipt?（你有收据吗？）
B:Yes,I have.（有的。）
X:Go ahead and pick up a medium size and bring it here, please.（请来挑选合适的尺寸吧。）
家庭话题
星期五晚上，Bob很早就来到了餐厅等候两位美女，七点整，Anne一个人出现在餐厅，她说Carrie有点事情，过一会儿来。Bob和Anne聊天，Anne说她在美国有个幸福的家庭。

致歉
Anne的父母都很开明，也都很喜欢中国，于是她就作为交换学生来到中国学习，也想好好了解一下这个神秘而又美丽的国家。说着说着，只见Carrie匆匆忙忙进来，并为她的吃到表示道歉。
I am so sorry about that.(为此我表示非常抱歉）
Dialogue：
C:I am sorry for being late.(抱歉我迟到了）
B:That's all right。We just arrived,too.（没关系，我们也是刚到）
C:It's very kind of you to say so.（你真好。）
点菜
Bob和Anne，Carrie开始点菜。
What's the special tonight?(今晚有什么特色菜吗？）

剧院
等待上菜期间，他们谈论起最近上演的一出戏剧，Carrie表示很喜欢里面的女主角

Dialogue：

B:I can't say i like the play very much.(我觉得不怎么样。）
C:I love the leading actress very much.（我喜欢女主角）
B:Yes.She is a character actress.（是的，她是个有性格的演员）
旅游计划
晚餐在愉快的气氛中进行着，Anne问Carrie准备暑假去哪里玩？
Where do you play to go for our vacation?(我们假期去哪里玩呢）
Eialogue:
A:Where do you plan to go?(我们去哪里玩呢？）
C:I want to go to Beijing.（我想去北京看看。）
A:How about going on a gvided tour?（那我们找个导游好吗？）
C:I put myself entirely in your hands.（你做主吧）
旅途谈论
Carrie说想去长城看看，Bob说自己去过长城，那里非常壮观。Carrie问Bob是否经常出去旅游，Bob说他们有个团队，喜欢组织爬山运动。

Dialogue:
A:Did you visit the Great Wall?(你参观过长城吗？）
B:Of course.It was very impressive.（当然，它给人印象非常深刻）

爬山
Bob问C和A是否愿意参加下周未的爬山活动。

Dialogue:

A:Mountain climbing?Which mountain?（爬山？爬哪座山）
B:A tough one.（比较困难的那种山）
C:I have never done that before.Do i need any training?（我以前没爬过，要不要先训练一下啊）
高兴
A和C都表示很高兴，非常乐意参加。
That's wonderful!(太好了！）
Dialogue:
C:I am afraid that i can't do sports as hard as this.(我想我可能没办法承受这样剧烈的运动）
B:Don't worry,we will help you!（没关系，我们会帮你的）
C:That's wonderful!（太好了）
谈谈天气
吃完饭，Bob说要送两们美女回学校，Anne说自己另外另外有事，找了个借口离开，留下了Bob和Carrie两人。Bob和Carrie默默走在路上，两人都不开口说话，气氛有点尴尬。Bob为了打破沉默，抬头看了看天上的月亮，对Carrie说：今天天气真不错啊。
It is a nice day,isn't it(今天真是好天气）
Dialogue:
B:It is a nice day,isn't it?(今天天气真好，不是吗？）
C:Yes.I hope the weather will stay fine.（是啊。真希望好天气能延续）
B:What is the weather forecast saying?（那天气预报怎么说的）
C:It will turn rainy in a few days.（最近几天将要下雨）
